Are the Forstner bits Zobo? There is a current source for the Zobo bits:

I'll see them again tomorrow and try to check.

Oh, and I remember there was speculation on whether or not the ETSC 2 can sit upright without tipping over on its own - the ETSC 2 150 can and is balanced by the sanding pad. The 125mm pad is too narrow and tips over.

Both will be sold for $56 more than the corded versions and include two batteries and a charger.

And the both use the same sanding pads and 5mm screws as the ETS EC versions - for you intrepid thinkers out there...

Well, unless they offer a hard backed sanding pad for the ETS line, it's kinda pointless, more new sanders that won't do the job.

Probably cheaper parts in the ETSC2. The ETS ECs were from that old line of professional automotive grade tools. ETSC2 seems... more modern Festool.

edit: hrm... pulling up EKAT, I notice there's no counter balance weight in the ETSC2. Even the EC150/3 stroke has the weight.

For the record:
There are no "corded versions" of the ETSC 2 series sanders. It is new line designed from the ground up.

Bar consumables, these sanders have nothing in common with either the ETS/ETSC 125s series, the ETS 150 series nor with the ETS EC series.

EDIT: Below is my opinion, not a statement of fact.
These new sanders are a brand new tool "family" for Festool, designed to "sit in the middle" and attack the mainstream market.
