I just got my new Carvex 420 and Accessory kit today. (PS 420 EBQ)

I opened the box and took a look at the new tool and thought that it was large and wondered how it would feel using it. Well, I got home and installed the new carvex blade included with the 420. I did some different cuts. I made small scroll cuts, very tight in plywood and some maple hardwood. Very smooth cuts, 90 degree cuts and the 420 felt good in my hands. All I can say is that I am very happy so far. I am new to Festool and have bought a lot in the past year. It's hard to imagine going back to life without them.

I will have more time tomorrow night and will play with the different attachments. I just put in an order for a few assorted blades. Local dealer has no carvex blades in stock.

I have never thought that a jig saw could be so smooth to operate and could cut this accurately.

I'm looking forward to getting one in the near future.  Went to the store over the weekend to see how it felt in my hand.

Just holding the saw I first thought that I had made a mistake in getting it. It's a lot bigger in real life yet as soon as I started using it. WOW  this is a great tool. Amazing how Festool can have so many tools that all stand out as so well made and work so nice. It's nice not having to clean the sawdust from the shop all the time.

I agree with John.  I was incredibly lucky enough to win a Carvex "D" handle at a Festool Road Show and thought seriously of trying to swap it for the barrel grip model because I was so used to my Bosch barrel.  I'm glad I didn't.  The "D" handle gives you a variable speed trigger that will be useful, and I can still wrap my hand around the lower barrel when I want a lower center of effort per the photo.  Nicely designed, Festool!
