Just finished opened the box from Toolnut containing a brand new Festool CT26 - It replaces my Festool Midi.  The cord winder was not installed and came in a plastic sealed bag.  So I notice there are 4 holes on the rear of the CT-26 and NONE OF THE HOLES MATCH THE CORD WINDER PLASTIC PIECE.  Now what?  Do I mount it to the CT26 and DRILL holes for the cord winder plastic piece.  Is it too much to ask Festool to have holes "PRE-DRILLED" or am I being too picky

The cord mount should match up with pre-drilled/molded holes.  I'm 90% certain mine did, but it's been a while since I mounted it, and I think I took it off to mount the handle set.  I can take a look when I get home this evening.

The 4 lower holes are for the optional handle setup.

You mount the cord holder on the upper part, just below the black plastic of the hose garage.  2 screws.  Look again and you'll see the holes are there already to take them.

They should screw right in place. The screws come with it and the holes are there too. One of them is able to rotate, which allows rapid deployment without unwinding it.
