Kapex 120: an add-on to avoid splintering: how?

(sorry for the poor English - I'm Dutch...)

A couple of times in the past I've seen an add-on on the Kapex that prevents splintering of the cut. This wooden add-on is situated where you have to put your workpiece against. As far as I can remember it's just a piece of (ply?)wood which is cut in two vertically (where te saw itself is).

Hope this does make sense to you. And, even better: can anyone tell me where I can find a manual or so on how to create such a thing myself? A link in the FOG would be great. As long as it has some pictures with it, because my technical English is most of the times not good enough to understand manuals.

Thanks in advance!

Your English is really good - far better than my Dutch!

I have attached a picture that I found on my computer from a previous post of mine. I used solid wood but you can use plywood. I think mine are about 8 or 10 mm thick. To stop splintering they have to extend well inwards of the metal support at the back so that you can cut through them to produce a zero clearance rear fence. They are attached to the Kapex rear supports by 2 set screws on each side with wing nuts or (in my case) knobs with captive nuts. Remember to move them outwards when you do an angled cut otherwise you will cut quite a bit off.
