I’m was looking at the Kapex and it was fine until I grabbed the handle and worked the switches and pulled down, it was just very uncomfortable. I went over to the other brands of miter saws and they were all very comfortable to use. Does that get better as you use it and is it just me. I have been reducing the dust in my shop so after testing that I went home and figured out how to collect most of the dust from my 25 year old miter saw and then bought the Festool OF 1400 router.

I have done the same thing...but already had the 1400 so got a Vac Sys.  I got the Mustache attachment from Fastcap.  It helps.  Still might be back for the Kapex, but for now I have a solution that is better.

I have the Kapex and the Milwaukee 12". The Milwaukee is used for rough material. I'm ambidexter and odly enough, I use my right hand to cut 90 deg with the Milwaukee and my left hand with the Kapex... go figure  [eek]
I like the size of the Kapex handle and you get used pretty quickly of the two locks mechanism. Very similar to the TS 55/75, to me.

I was accustomed to the Dewalt handle, but have not had any issue adapting to the Kapex's. Same thing with the different types of handles for routers, and once used enough, every handle would work...at least for most of us. The same observation extends to hand tools like hand saws. I have tried five different premium dovetail saws, and in the end, the cutting results are similar.

When gripping the Kapex handle, extend your index finger like you are pointing.  It makes a big difference.

I've been using a Kapex for so long now (3+ years) it's all the other saws that seem foreign to me.
