Looking at the exploded view in the users manual it looks like item 47 is a o- ring. Has anyone ever experienced a leak from the gear housing? Thanks [unsure]

Under some environmental conditions or if the Kapex is stored in an orientation other than flat on its base, there can be separation of the oil from the grease. This leakage, according to our service department, does not compromise the saw in any way or cause any issues with its operation long term.

If you have concerns, please feel free to call the service department for assistance.

I find that shocking - esp as that Kapex cart stores the saw on its side [eek]

The UG stand is versatile.  It can be stored other ways as well.

I keep my Kapex flipped upside down on a flip over base.  I haven't experienced any issues.  Should I start keeping it right side up and just flip it when I need the other side to work with?

Chris, storing your Kapex in a position other than a horizontal position like it would be if in operation should not cause any damage to your Kapex. Worst case, you end up with some oil leakage as described in this thread. But even that should not damage or prevent normal operation.

Well that's good to hear, now that I've been doing it for a couple of years now.  [blink]
