kapex 120 not turning on

my kapex 120 all of a sudden just wont turn on, no laser or anything ( yes ive checked the fast fix knob)
any suggestions on what to look for?

That happened to me recently. Turned out the ground fault detector had triggered thus cutting off power to the outlet.

I think Birdhunter was saying in his case the power to the wall outlet was cut off by the circuit breaker.

ya i thought  he might have ment that after i posted, although problem is not the power source, starting ot have a feeling it may hopefully just need powercord replaced, on that note i wish the kapex had a plugit or could use a plug it cord cut as a replacement, parts are a nightmare to get in NZ

Maybe borrow a voltstick to check there's power live at the on/off switchgear.

If no, then it's a supply issue in your cabling:  i.e. from the wall outlet to the switch.

If yes, then something else is amiss.  Maybe a dodgy safety interlock?  The lack of lights/laser makes me suspect it may be the former.

As an afterthought, have you tried it directly from the wall outlet?  There may be a fault in the auto on/off module in your dust extractor.
