my kapex will not stay true it goes out of alignment with very little use i mainly only cut 90 degree cuts i cant remember the last time i moved it out of 90
i have contacted festool great service they have sent me two parts both the hold down part and the plate with the markings when it goes out all you need to do is tap the side to get it back in place i have e the hold down screws as tight as you can get them without stripping them the hold down for the saw isn't what is moving its the plate  i am close to gluing it down
festool tells me to send it in to them but then i will need to buy a new saw to use while its in the shop and if i do that then i would just end up putting the kapex on cl if i bought a different slider that was accurate i cant have tools that i cant trust to be true day in and day out

Guy,

Sorry to read about your issues. Have you checked with your dealer to see if they have a saw they might be able to
Loan you during the repair? Or possibly our guy on the ground in your area could do that.

On vacation,
Shane

Sorry to hear about your issues.  Your post didn't ask for any advice but rather just expressed your dissatisfication.  Perhaps it would be advisable to send it in.

Peter perhaps you should re,read the op's post.

Guy,

Are you having the problem with 90º vertical or horizontal?

Are you locking the miter table by pushing down on the locking handle? Not sure if it will help but might be worth a try.

Hi, this may not be applicable in your case. But my kapex goes out of 90 when I keep it folded down on my UG cart - I just assumed the weight was pulling it down. Now I just double check when I unfold to use it.

Mine alway's out of 90degre when I unfold it to the UG Cart!  So its part of the procedure to back it to 90degre when I'm unfolding it..

mine goes out from just using it right to left it never leaves 90 and it never gets moved that is whats so irritating i use it all day long every day and to have to check it a few times a day and adjust it once or twice a day is a pita

Are you looking the table with the lever?

When you check it, how far out is it? In what distance?

Not doubting you, asking because this is one I've never heard of before. I thought mine was out, it ended up being the lasers, the visual reference really made it look way out.

mine goes out right to left all it takes is a bump for it to go out enough to where it effects the cuts and both parts that hold it square have been replaced with no noticeable improvement
