Well, I finally did it.  I bought a Kapex with a CT26.
I unpacked the Kapex and in the foam I found a small allen wrench.  I looks like it works the fence stops.
Is there a special storage place for this?
Thanks in advance,
Jim

Jim, welcome to the forum! We look forward to hearing more from you.

The small wrench has no onboard storage space and is used for adjusting the lasers and the fence retaining screws.

Hope you get great use out of your new tools. Should you ever need assistance, feel free to contact me.

That's a different wrench. That one is for the arbor nut and it does store on the back of the saw. In fact, I think that's where it is when it ships. The other, smaller, wrench is in the packaging for the saw.

ahh i see. i do not remember ever getting another wrench with mine, but it was some time ago and probably why i do not have it now, lol

Thanks Shane.
Looking forward to many years of good use with this setup.
Already looking to add some additional items too.

Perhaps Festool will make a holder for this in the future that we could all just add to our saws.  Maybe a rubber piece that would fit in the honeycomb bottom and hold the wrench.

Also, regarding the varialbe speed control.  A sticker stating the recommended material uses at different speeds like in the manual.  That would be nice next to the dial.

Again,
Thanks,
Jim

I didn't get one with mine either, I think it's part of the extra service of festoolusa.

The first time adjusted the lasers I used the toolie, but later I got myself a facom version with a round head and a screwdriver handle. (like the 3mm wiha one that comes with the mfs)

Yea, I did not get one either... but I have a set of torx folding bits in my tool bag so NBD.

I cant remember getting one either but if it was in the packaging then chances are its still there.  Dont look to close at the polystyrene when i have a new toy tool to play work with  [cool]

I remembered Brice saying about it being in the packaging, but so far not found the little devil in my recent aquisition, anyone have a metal detector I can borrow?  ;D
The one I use is from one of the drill accessories, can't remember which one or is it the same for all of them? Having a 'blonde' moment here and my kit is all at work so can't check.

LOL, you are a marked man  [big grin]

I think that every time you post a message a load buzzer goes off in Shanes house & he has to rush to the computer to see what you have written  [bite tongue]

Stealth mode is easy, just sign out and pop in as a guest ;D
Shane is too nice a guy to be a stalker or spy, and if he was to ban someone it would not be with 'smilies'  [laughing]

More like it is the mention of "non-Festool tools" that flicks a switch in the inter conti webby programie thingy that sends a jolt up his arm (can't be pleasant that  [sad] ) so he has to log in even when off duty just to make sure. [laughing] [laughing] ;D
