Has any one had a problem with the Kapex going out of true ( angles etc ) after they have been carting the saw around on the UG stand for a while?

Cheers

It's a common problem that the Kapex can move off zero a bit on the bevel scale when moving it around on the UG cart (it drops a bit sometimes) but it only means checking it is on zero before you start cutting.

slightly but not horribly, any chop saw that gets tossed from van to job site will do that though, just need to check it from time to time

As above, mine does it I think they all do it. Just make sure you check before you make a cut.

The bevel always moves a couple of degrees during transport. My ug and kapex went flying out the back doors and down the road when my van was written off. It survived with no damage other than paint so its tougher than it looks

Mine went out of square recently

It wasn't until I was joining the kick up on a kitchen that I new something was wrong.
The kapex used to be transported on the ug cart in the up right position. After looking at how the saw locks in a little closer I now lay the saw down on the ug cart in the van. To stop the stress on the gauges going out.
I've had the kapex since 2008 with no issues of going out of square.

Are you talking about the bevel indicator on the rear of the saw (tilting the blade left and right), or the miter gauge on the front of the saw.  As a couple people have said already, the bevel shifts quite easily during transport, but I have not had any issues yet with the saw going out of square on the miter gauge.
