Kapex bevel lock adjustment?

Hi All,

First time poster here. I love my Kapex, no real issues with it at all. However, I would like to tighten the bevel lick. It creeps by a couple of degrees while I'm rolling it around in the UG stand. Being old, I forget to reset it, once in a while. (This leads to cussing and wondering why the heck my joints aren't tight)

So, how do I tighten it up? Google has not been my friend, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the owners manual. I'm in middle of a job, so sending it off isn't gonna happen. (It is new)

Interesting mine does exactly the same thing.

Be interesting to see what others say as it is annoying

I am afraid it is just something the kapex seems to do when on the ug stand, mine does it. It has been mentioned many times on FOG but nobody seems to have come up with a fix. You just have to remember to check it before you use it, it is frustrating and I have messed up a few times because of it.

Festool should have fixed this issue then with an additional lock. The other saws I've had never had that issue

I don't have the UG stand for my kapex, so this might not work.

If it's possible to mount the kapex the other way around on the stand, so that it's mitresetting is at 50° instead of the normal 60° transport position, the weight of the sawhead will also rest on the calibrated zero position of the 0°-45° setting, and it will be a lot less likely to move during transport.

(Downside is, that if it DOES move, you'll have to recalibrate the bevelsetting.)

I think it only goes the 1 way otherwise it clashes with the frame if I remember rightly

It's just the way it is they're all like it, I know mine is. Luckily I usually remember to check mine.

Maybe put a sticker on it to remind you to check
