Kapex Blade Choices

I'm in the process of buying a used (new to me) Kapex and I don't know what shape the blade is in.  A professional cabinet maker friend of mine says that the standard Kapex blade flex's too much for his "taste" so he put a Forrest blade on it and he said that the flexing issue went away.

[scratch chin]Has anyone noticed any blade flex with their Festool blade?  Has anyone bought anyother brand blade and used it on their Kapex.  What brand and how did it perform?

Thankfully, my lovely wife is fully supportive  [thumbs up]of my Festool addiction, and perhaps a bit tired of hearing about my enthusiasm about another Festool purchase I've just made, or plan to make, but this is too good a deal to pass up (as it always is). [big grin]

Trust me, "blade flex" has never been a problem with any of my 3 Kapex, nor the Kapex belonging to my face frame specialist. Four of us professional woodworkers were waiting just after midnight the moment our Festool dealer (Eagle Tools) was allowed to let us take delivery of Kapex. Since then I purchased the additional two. Except those days I am out of town I use at least one Kapex daily. Cabinet makers working for me use all 3 of my Kapex every day. I believe in keeping the blades sharp.

Of course my shop also have a 14" radial arm saw and a 10" miter saw for tasks not requiring Kapex precision. Personally I have never used a Kapex to cut framing type lumber.

No problem with flexing.I have 2 of the standard blades and very happy with the results.

I am very happy and impressed with the blade that came on my kapex.  It far exceeded my expectations and was good enough to convince me to try a tenryu instead of the forrest.  I have to say the tenryu "silencer" is a very good blade but not quite equal to the festool.  The tenryu blade is good enough for me to buy again as it  does the job and was considerably less expensive than the forrest.  I also know that all blades are not created equal in their perfection but do vary slight amounts from blade to blade.  My old makita saw came with a tenryu blade and it cut as good or ever so slightly better than a forrest chopmaster that I bought for it.  I also have one 48t blade (out of about 6) for the ts55 that simply will not cut good at all and I kept it just for the rare instance when I have to cut something that might have a hidden nail or two.
