What your choice for a second blade - Festool, Forrest, Tenyru, Freud?
Mainly for trim and factory finished cabinetry parts.

I just bought the Forrest. 90 tooth blade made special for Festool kapex. Same size and 30mm bore

$159. Shipped.  Works great so far. I just sent my kapex blades in for sharpening to Forrest. And will have them back soon so I can compare side by side. Kapex blades are excellent. And don't know if the difference in cost from Forrest to Festool is worth it I will advise next week.

I was thinking of the new Forrest, Signature Line. Dan's test was of the Chopmaster.
AND Forrest is located in my city.

Be sure to let us know, Kreg.  I've been considering the Forrest blade as the stock Festool blade seemed to get dull faster than I expected.

thats where I bought mine, but i called them at 10am  and told them I needed it shipped that day as I was going to atl on friday and if it was shipped on tuesday then I would have had it by thursday....  she said she would and I would receive the ups tracking... had to follow up several times and found out it did not go out till wednesday and did not get it till late friday, and my house in nc  and was already on my way... not that big of a deal

but how busy can they be to make sure it goes out that day...  that was my only issue.. so far the blade is working great.  clean cuts.. will be using it over thanks given and will up date soon

Kreg,

Do you have an assessment of the new Forrest blade yet?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks,

Joe
