Wondering if anyone uses them for their standalone miter station? I bought them to use for my MFT and occasionally on my Kapex that sat on a rolling tool stand. Pretty happy with them but they’re finicky to attach as most know. Just curious on the thoughts of using them for the standalone meter station that I’m building. I’m sure I could sell them quickly if they prove not to be all that great, but it seems silly at this point to not use what I already have.
The only true downside I see is they take up real estate on the standalone station versus an embedded track.

[member=23333]Df1k1[/member] The UG extensions are great when hooked up to the original cart, but if you're doing a custom build I would recommend doing your own wings that provide greater stability and board support than what is possible with the extensions, along with being foldable when not in use. [member=11196]Peter Parfitt[/member] did a video a number of years ago on a cart with this design, which I used as a base for my own modified version with foldable wing. Here's the post which has Peter's video at the top, followed by my build.

I would add to check out the Ron Paulk solution to the attachable wings need.

If you're going to build some sort of "permanent" mitre cutting station for the Kapex, I'd pass on the Festool extensions. Too flimsy.

Excellent guys thanks so much for your feedback. Probably just easier to sell them when I get to my new place.
