Kapex Fence & Laser Adjustments...

Just got my Kapex and I've been running it thru some paces.  First, I found the the lasers do not line up perfectly on the 90*.  The lasers are off from front to back and as I raise and lower the blade, the laser lines move slightly, left to right.  When I lower the blade and move it front to back, the laser moves there as well.  Is it difficult to make adjustments to them?  Is there a tutorial on the procedure?
What I had to do to overcome the laser issue was to lower the blade and place it over my mark, then move the workpiece right or left.  When I get that positioning right, the rear of the laser does not line up with the 90* mark.
Secondly, the saw was not cutting perfect 90*.  I adjusted the fence slightly and that fixed the issue.  I hope I didn't throw anything else off by doing that, but that's with way I've adjusted other miter saws.  That adjustment had little effect on the laser issue.  Thanks for the help.

There's a pretty extensive set of adjustments you can make.  They are outlined in the Supplemental manual.  You can adjust the lasers along any axis.  You just have to poke the holes in the sticker on the side to access the adjustment screws.

You can also adjust the miter cutting angles.  This takes awhile, but can be done to make the saw very accurate.

Are there others that have made these adjustments?  Is it common to have to make these adjustments or are we just the unfortunate ones?  I fully realize that any tools that are mass produced will likely not be done as precisely as many of us would like.  It doesn't surprise me at all to have to make some adjustments.  I'd just like to know if I'm in the minority or the majority?

I had to adjust mine when new and have had to tweak them once.  When precisely adjusted the lasers are a tremendous asset, so take as much time as you need to get it perfect, and it can be done.

[big grin]Much to my delight, the laser adjustment was relatively simple, although a little time consuming.  After peeling back the decal so that I wouldn't have to replace it, the adjustment screws were easy to get to.  I followed the instructions and all went well.  There's a bit of back and forth, as each adjustment effects the others, but it all worked out very well.  Now, I can pretty much raise and lower the head and the laser tracks very well.  I may need some additional adjustment as I use the Kapex, but at least now, I'm confident that a few tweaks will straighten things out. 
Thanks very much for the supplemental instructions.  That's what made it all possible for me to do.

I had to adjust mine.  I spent about an hour adjusting the lasers, and another 3 hours or so adjusting the miter.  The miter adjustment is very very fine, hence why it took so long to get it "perfect".

The manual warns you, however before you take this on.  You could foul it up and make the settings worse.  So you have to be very careful.

I know what you mean about "fine".  Not having read the miter adjustment part of the supplemental, I adjusted the fence, rather than the detent stop ring.  I loosened all but one fence bolt, then tweaked the left end just a fraction.  That one adjustment took care of it.  I don't know if that will mess anything else up, but that's the way I've adjusted all my other miter saws.  Hope it will be OK.
