Kapex guard sticking

I had two new kapex's with black residue by the motor vents.  Just thought it was normal?

Well I rubbed a small bit of 3in1 around the big spring behind the head of the saw, some around the spring that closes the guard as well as the other joints on the guard arm.

My rep jus texte there and said the black stuff behind the vents is normal. He was told its just some dust bring blown out.

Also if anyone has a 110v version of the kapex he tolde the kapex absolutly needs a 5KVA transformer for it.

My guard sticks permantly but that's because I had a bright idea!   I didn't have a Stanley knife on me and I needed to cut the top off glue tub.  

 I decided my kapex would be very good at doing this instead of fetching my Stanley knife.    Well polyurethane becomes extremely runny when the sun has been on it all day.     Well..... I forgot! Thought I would be quick enough to cut and lift the glue tub back up! Well I was wasnt fast enough lots and lots of glue came pouring out instantly covering my kapex.   I had to let it go off and scrape all the foam glue off! Took ages!  Was well worth it..... Not!  

Well after that my guard is up permantly.   I like it I have always hated the festool guard anyway.   I don't like people using my kapex with blade fully exposed I do warn them and make them fully aware of the fully exposed blade.
