I'd love to upgrade my DW a KS120 but have limited storage in my small workshop.

My old Dewalt lived under the bench in a space that is 16.5" high.

The specs say that a KS120 is 18.5" high.  Is it possible to reduce that by storing it on max bevel?  and if so what are the resulting HxWxD dimensions.

Can any anyone oblige please?

many thanks

Pete

Hi, I hope I may be able to help you here, I'll certainly try.

your kapex 88 is on it's own? right? if that's the case,  depending on the depth of the storage space, etc it could be possible. if possible, could you please provide me with height, width and depth  of your proposed storage space.

I leave mine permanently set up on her UG stand and rails with the CTL extracter sitting beside her, ready for batch work.

I'd recommend the UG cart and rail upgrade if you haven't already done so as this would give you not only a suitable storage and transport method but a quicker setup time as the rail system comes with a sleeve kit that holds both rails and has a parking spot either end to mount on the  UG cart. Couldn't be without it.

Hi, I haven't yet replaced my DW CMS but want a KS120.

the under bench space I have is 17.5 " high, 24" deep and 48" wide.  I can sneak an extra inch or so of depth but no more height.

I already have a table and rollers in the garage where I do large work, but I dont want to store a kapex in there.

regards

Pete

if height is an issue, turn your saw to the right fully, put your clamp on the left mount like it would be done on the UG cart, do a compound angle 45 degree so you've tilted the saw right and right down. this then would give you an inch or so play. ensure when you do this that you lock the saw travels.
