Politically, there is no such place as Britain.
The "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" consists of: Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.

All of these 'countries' took part in the referendum as to whether or not to 'leave' the EU.
The UK (United Kingdom) is, for now, still a member of the EU.
