Hey everyone!

Wanted to see if any of you out there are using any sort of lubrication to aid in smooth movement of your Kapex parts?
I use this saw every day and it seems it's just not moving as smooth as it use to.  Or as smooth as other Kapex saws I have tried out.  I clean the saw every day before leaving the job site, but just seems things are starting to stiffer each day [eek]

If you have had any troubles like this or have lubed your Kapex, any info is appreciated!

Thanks, Jim

Kapex uses recirculating ball linear bearings. So if it is not sliding freely on the rails, it isn't due to a lack of lubrication, but due to gumming. That could be caused from lubricating it too often, which could accumulate dust. You may need to remove the debris by using a solvent to remove the old lubricant and dust, and then lubricating the bearings once they are clean.

However, this may sound silly, but have you checked to make sure the clamping screw is not partially tightened?

Recirculating ball linear bearings are pretty bullet-proof. So it would be best to look for the silly problems before concluding the bearings are gummed.
