Kapex MFT vs Mobile stand - which is easier for homeowner

I do a lot of Greene and Greene style interior trim work on my own home.  I’ve been working at it for about 10 years, and if I calculate correctly, should have another 163 years left before I’m done.  Anyhow, I want to upgrade to the Kapex and would like advice on which is easier for a quick set up and a couple hours of work then clean-up: MFT or mobile stand with extensions?

I’ll use the saw in the garage and sometimes move it to the room I’m working on. I will never load it in a truck and transport. If I ever relied on actually being a carpenter for a living, I’d starve to death before ever finishing a job.

I don't have experience with the MFT but the UG stand with extensions is quite easy to fold up and move then setup in a new location.  Mine usually resides in my basement shop but has spent a few months in the garage when I was redoing a deck I built over 30 years ago and it has gone on the road several times when I helped nephews and nieces with house projects.

I’ve had to move my Kapex from my shop in the basement to the garage several times. The UG support has been great for this. The MFT is a beast to move.

I’ll add to the so-far unanimous recommendation for the UG stand. It makes moving the saw around very easy.

I do similar work in my house, and have found the MW 1000 to be very useful as well.

UG cart + wings.

Or in case you never ever will move it: build a bespoke cutting station.

I purchased the UG stand with the trimming attachment. I made a short video of my set up. Love the UG stand but maybe, just maybe sometimes wished i had bought the MFT Kapex as the saw does not really move much in my shop.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I ordered the UG and kapex combo today. Great bargain (in Festool land, at least).  Looking forward to April 1 when they ship.

Can I ask where you ordered from, looking for both as well.

Congratulations and I’m sure your looking forward to using as well
