kapex no blade bolt guard

after much deliberation i picked up my new kapex today. when i unpacked the saw i noticed that the bolt guard that covers the blade bolt was not there. have festool removed this or am i missing it?

To the best of my knowledge, that is a UL requirement only for the North American market. I believe its only purpose is to prevent the arbor bolt from completely coming out if it loosens up during operation. I suspect that UL required it to be added here because the arbor bolt is not a self-tightening bolt if it loosens itself up. That is to say, if the blade slips, it will not self-tighten the arbor bolt because the outboard arbor flange cannot spin differently from the motor shaft.

I suspect that the reason why it is not required in international countries (not covered by UL) is because by the time the arbor bolt were to actually loosen enough to touch the guard, the operator would certainly have noticed the wobbly blade.
