Kapex on DWX723

I've seen that others have tried this combination, but did not find the answer to my question...

Could anyone comment if you were able to get the Dewalt Mounting Brackets to attach to the Kapex directly or if you needed to use a piece of ply as a bridge between the Kapex and the stand?  The mounting brackets look too short (front to back) for both Kapex bolt holes unless I only mount one bolt per side to the Kapex.  One bolt/side would probably hold, but I'd worry about the Kapex sliding on the mount  with only a single bolt per side when it is removed from the stand.

Thanks,
Mark

I use a piece of 1/2" ply.  I didn't try very hard to see if it would work without the ply.

It's also worth noting that the material supports do not extend high enough for the Kapex on ply (they are about a 1/2" short at their highest point) ...you have to add some height to them, but due to their design and the flip stop you can't just stick a piece of ply on top and call it a day.  I'm still trying to figure out the best way to mod them.

Seem to remember I bought some longer dewalt brackets that the kapex fitted on, think it also needed longer material support brackets because the saw sat further forward but can't really remember. Got the UG stand now and it's brilliant.

I use a small sheet of plywood and the Fastcap Best Fence.  It's a great combo.

I just did this this weekend with a Kapex I picked up last week.  Used 6mm bolts and it fit directly on the brackets, but at the ends of the slots, so there is no fore/aft adjustment.  However it sits well.  As you can see from the pics, I adapted 2 fences I already had for the DeWalt to bolt directly to the sliding supports.  The one on the left is 6' and the one on the right is 4'.  In the pics, I have the extensions on the saw, but would normally not use them in this configuration unless I was doing crown and needed the stops.  I was able to adjust both with my 6' level to be even with the saw fence and level with the deck.  Haven't used it yet, but should be a good system for supporting long pieces.  If I use a fence on the saw, I'll need to offset the other fences by the same thickness

Before I had the Festool UG Cart, I had my Kapex on the Dewalt brackets/stand. I used M6 x 30mm hex bolts (from Lowes). Fits perfectly with no need to drill the Kapex holes any bigger like some have indicated is necessary when using a larger bolt. As mentioned, there isn't any front to back wiggle room when attaching the Kapex to the brackets, but it works well.

I didn't even remove the rubber feet from the Kapex. The Dewalt bracket just squeezes them in a little.

You were able to get the inner set of holes on the corners (four total) of the Kapex to go into the 723 mounting bracket?  I swear it didn't look like there was a chance it would make it.  I used the two larger holes (one per bracket) and it's okay, but I'm concerned the brackets will rotate.

Just remembered.  I bought 8 nylon spacers, each 3/8 tall, and used 2 on each bolt to match the height of the rubber feet and help the saw sit stable on teh bracket.  Got them at Lowes too in the hardware section.
