Kapex on Kapex table along side MFT3 fence question

Hey guy's,

I bought a Kapex table today and I have it sitting to the left of my MFT3 table. As I clearly see the Kapex table is designed with the Kapex sitting on it to be flush with the MFT3 so you can pass material across both tables seamlessly. What about the Kapex fence and the MFT3 fence? Should they be in line or coplaner with each other too? I have mine set up that way right now but with the little bit of leg wiggle between the 2 tables it misaligns those fences making it somewhat finicky. Should I set one of the table forward or back so the 2 fences are not in line? I kinda wanted to not do that....

Some pictures...
Thanks

As you pointed out, Taos, it would be pretty tricky to keep them aligned unless they were locked together pretty solidly.

The standard table connectors won't work because of the height difference but you could make something to join them that takes advantage of the t-tracks.

I have mine set-up the same way as you and I am planning on aligning the fences.  My thought is to use a piece of plywood and use the t-track as Tom had mentioned but I have not got that done yet because it has been a bit hot to work out in the garage here.  I'm going to try to get out there this weekend and will get something made and post it.  If that does not work I'm going to make something out of steel at work.

For those of us who work in a shop (garage) only it would be worth the time.  I did line it up when I made my 5' x 7' picture frame and in my mind it was beneficial.

That's exactly it.  I understand it would not work for you since you transport your tool all over.

If you were never going to move it then I can think of a ton of better ways to do it for a stationary place in the shop. If someone is trying to make a solution for the mft, kapex etc and that solution needs to be stationary then whats the point? I guess for a one off project situation it makes sense.

Here is my solution to align the MFT/3 and the MFT Kapex.  The first picture is the attachment to the sides and the second is aligning the backs.
