So why the sale? I thought Festool was like apple and never go on sale. Does this mean a new model is coming? I just bought one 25 days ago. I called my dealer and told him I want my 10% off or its coming back Saturday and I will just buy it back after the first. That's a lot of money no to do it.  He is going to get back with me on it. I would hate to buy it back and a new model is coming out. Any word on that?

I wonder if it could actually be Festool responding to the market, given the recent price drops for the Bosch Glide and others saw of a similar caliber?

Festool has had several similar sales in recent memory, including a Domino sale and a Planex sale.

Not now, you would have heard about it being launched in Europe first typically. There has been no official word on a new Kapex model

Below is a post from Shane ref the exact same thing on a different thread, I think your dealer should be able to work it out for you without the hassle of a return and re-purchase:

PLEASE do not return you Kapex and then re-purchase. This is unnecessary and creates an inconvenience for you, hurts your dealer because of credit card transaction and other costs, and puts a perfectly good Kapex back in our inventory. Doing that will make it harder for us to justify conducting future promos.

Contact your dealer once the promo begins. If you have trouble, let me know and I (Shane) will assist.

Good to hear! It seems most Festool dealers, and Festool themselves, will bend of backwards to make sure their customers are happy! Enjoy your saw.

Acting upon this good deal, this morning I pre-ordered 2 more Kapex in combo with CT36 at the discount, making it clear to my dealer this need not be a rush. I also ordered one more UG stand with supports.

At the same time I ordered bunch of Festool Kapex blades; probably with sharpening those could be a several year supply.

How can I lose? Those are outstanding blades and they will never cost less!

Never thought I would get a Kapex or Festool drills.  Not sure what changed but no I have a T18, CXS and a Kapex.  I bought a Kapex about 7 weeks ago so a little late to get the discount which is a bummer.  That said its a terrific saw.  I have been really impressed and almost have a stand built for it.

Is this deal only for the U.S. market or does it include Europe aswell? I only ask as I only purchased the kapex 120 last week and this would be a nice little saving

It has only been announced in the US I believe.  Sorry.
