Kapex Power dilemma

For those that have a Kapex, how do you hook the Kapex power to the DC?

Do you use a dedicated DC or else. Here my setup, I have the CT 26 with boom arm and plug it cable attached to the hose. Each time I want to use the Kapex, I have to remove the plug it from the DC and plug the Kapex cable directly. Wondering if there is a plug it adaptor to address this.

I read that power consumption is an issue with the OF 2200 but the TS 75 comes with a plug it and both the TS 75 and Kapex are rated at 1600 w. Is there any way to fix this without having to get a second DC?

There is no plug it for the Kapex. You can run any Festool tool with the DC. You will need to unplug your other tool or use an adapter to convert the single outlet to a 3 outlet. Then you can leave the plugit cord connected. Hope this helps.

That's what I was doing, found it quickly annoying. Thanks for confirming!

In order to make using my Kapex and other tools easier I have created my Dust Hub. This allows me to have the Kapex setup all the time and I have several options for using other tools. Here is a link to the video:

I have a dedicated Festool Mini vac connected to my Kapex through a short wide hose. The short wide hose did significantly improve collection. The vac nestled neatly under the Kapex stand.

I've never had a problem with my Kapex, OF2200 or HL850 on 15amp or 20amp service.

I have a dedicated Fein Turbo II that I use with my Kapex.

However, when I need to run multiple corded tools on my MIDI or CT 22, I just use this 3-way adapter.

Same for me.  Dedicated CT and short 36MM hose under my Kapex on the cart I built.

Peter, I saw that box on one of your video and almost ask you to make a video about it. And there you go :)

Thanks!

That is the solution I was planning until I saw Peter hub. It`s going to be plan B if Peter`s hub is not an option for me.

I have a UG cart with a shelf that I made to hold a CT-MIDI. As others have mentioned a short length of the 36 mm hose runs downward to the CT. The KAPEX plugs into the CT which is then plugged into a standard 15 AMP household outlet. I have had good results from this setup and have not tripped a breaker yet!
