Hello all!

I have a kapex KS 120 EB model number 495822.  I need to remove the 4 hex cap screws marked 40 on the parts diagram.  The reference shows they are  "219057 | Ch. head screw M5x50-TAPTITE (Festool Authentic Spare Part)".

I don't have a long enough hex wrench to reach these so I will need to buy one.  Does anyone know what size hex wrench the head is on these bolts?

Thanks iin advance!

Jim

It turned out to be 4mm.  I am now putting the new gearbox/armature back together.

My next question is; what type of gear lube to use for the gear box and how much of it?  I don't see it listed anywhere, since this is not a simple maintenance process, I am assuming.

As always, thanks in advance!

[member=4105]tjbnwi[/member] , haven't you rebuilt your Kapex?  Any suggestions on grease type?

Practically any high temp lithium grease would be perfect. Put enough so it coats everything and when spinning leaves enough extra to ensure good coverage remaining on moving parts, but don't fill it up to the max.

Yes sir, 1 of mine and 2 of others.

I used Lucas Red N Tacky.
