My saw was affected too, and it was returned to me a week ago. Aside from the electronic part, other visible parts that were replaced are the powercord, the coversticker over the laser-adjustment holes, the rubber dustfunnel; which had been cut into a bit, 5mm or so; the clear bladeguard and the laser lense cover.
I received the warning in december, and after I registered for the retrofit, I received a telephone call from festool Germany to schedule the repair, I would receive the box the last week of februari with packing info, and the repair would be the 1st week of march.
UPS took some time to get the box to me, and I received it in the first week of march, and the website to schedule the pickup wouldn't accept the codes (probably because the 5 day window had passed) but I dropped it off at a parcel pickuppoint, and it was returned to me the next day ( [embarassed] the label from the shipment of the empty box was still on the box, I missed it because it was stuck to the bottom) after peeling it off I returned it to the parcelshop. I received an email that the repair was completed the 25th of march, and and according to track & trace, the planned delivery-date was monday 29th of march. To my surprise I found it at my backdoor the friday before.
