Sorry if this has already been posted, but I received in the post today a letter from Festool advising of a recall as explained in the copy below.
My Kapex is dated 2007 (early adopter!) and is caught by the recall. (Incidentally, the Festool letter correctly identified my machine’s serial number and so it could have stated that it required the retrofit, but apart from that, it seems pretty satisfactory that they have gone all the way back to 2007).
I guess there will be a lot of machines that have moved on since initial registration.
