Hello Ive been meaning to call a dealer on this, just no time. Does the Kapex miter saw have degree marking on the tilting head preset for cutting crown on the flat? My old hitachi has something like a diamond on the head scale and a diamond on the table scale, also a star on the head scale as with the table scale. So when cutting up to 2 differant crown molding with differant spring angles. All you have to do is match diamond on the head/table your good to go. The angles are something like 33and 1/3 degrees or something like that.  I have not seen anyone mention this. Maybe not searching correctly. Please do not tear my head off if this is common knowleadge. Thanks in advance  Tim [smile]

Hey Tim,

No head tearing tonight, the Kapex does have the 31.6 mark on the miter gauge but does not have the 33.9 on the bevel gauge.  The supplemental manual available online does have a built in calculator built in to it so that you can calculate both angles for any sloping trim.

I forgot about this - just another reason to praise the US Supplemental Manual - a must for every owner.

Thanks guys. That was easy........should have asked a tougher question. Be well Tim [embarassed]

If you cut a lot of crown moulding on the flat. Then the New Bosch Digital angle finder is a must #DAF220K. It now stores the spring angle and gives you all of your settings for a compound Miter. So no guess work on out of square corners.I think it was made for the Kapex.
