Now that Makita UK confirmed the LS1013 is not scheduled for Europe, I decided to finally get the Kapex.
It?s quite amazing how high the setup of the Kapex is, because even beeing 6.4, I don?t feel comfortable with the Kapex on my MFT/3 (#495462) or my other workbench of the same hight. I guess the height of the MFT/3 Kapex (#495565), which will level the surface of the Kapex and the MFT/3, is perfect for me.
Now here?s a question! The MFT/3 Kapex is quite expensive compared to a DIY miter stand, even with a decent precision fence. Is there any advantage having the MFT/3 in combination with the MFT/3 Kapex (other than level surfaces and mobility)?
I can?t find any example of a Kapex workstation design that would incorporate both of the MFTs and as a separate workstand I?d probably prefer a DIY or third party stand over the MFT Kapex.
