Kapex trigger

So, I'm either retarded, or my Kapex is jacked.  I pull the trigger to pull the saw down, and that works fine.  I push in the safety lock thingy, but the trigger won't pull in any further, hence the saw doesn't work.  Am I missing something here?  Is there some switch or lever that I need to do something with in order for the saw to work properly?

Have you played with the fastfix thumbscrew? This would lock the trigger. (The green thumbscrew used for locking the spindle to change the sawblade)

I don't have it in front of me, but mine you push the lock first, drop the saw, and then engage both lock and trigger at the same time to fire it up, after which the trigger alone keeps it running. My troubleshoot checklist goes something like.....

-fastfix engaged?
-saw power plug?
-vac switched to auto?
-vac plugged in?

Do check the plugs more than once.

Apparently mine came with the fast fix engaged - setting it to the proper position allowed me to get to work.  Good times!
