Ok I have another question for you guys. When I attempt a bevel cut there is quite a bit of soft play in the entire saw head assembly because of the turntable having up and down movement in it.. I noticed it has a bolt in the center with what looks like a rubber bushing. I try not to pull left or right on it while I chop but half the time it goes off one way or the other. Whats the best way to cut in bevel position?? Pulling up slightly or neutral??? And how much play should the turntable have ?? Can you tighten the bolt or bad idea??

I got rid of that spring washer.  I don't remember the exact sizes, but i replaced the bolt with a slightly longer one.  I then bought a needle bearing set with a races on top and bottom.  I also bought a washer that just fit the mouth of the bearing hole.  The nut was a self locking nut.  Everything was lubricated with molygraphite grease, minus the soap so that it wouldn't eat away at the metal when dry.  I tightened it down to where the rotation was smooth and easy, but there was virtually no play.  Now it's tight, stable, and dead on.  I just used mineral oil to lube the ss shims and it moves like butter.  very much improved modification from what was.  I checked the 90's with the cut test and the miter was off by a .01mm.  Thats on both sides and off of the 0 degree bevel detent, .02mm.  Turntable flatness with saw head up and back, less than .002.  To both max miters, .004 and .006.
