Just a quick Vid showing you its just as easy to get out the Kapex instead of a hand saw!  LoL joking!  Edited: Also me looking like a Rite blonka!

Just showing you how easily you can pull your kapex along and set it up quickly do few cuts (FAKE CUTS LOL)  and take it back down and go home and job done!  All in 1 trip no need to carry kapex watching out not to knock a vase off then to go back and  get your stand for you to put your kapex on thats 2 TRIPS waist of time!

The kapex can easily be lifted while on the stand well I do it if I need to get over a step or some wood or something and I find is much easier to lift than my mates Dewalt chopsaw just on its own. You can pull it up stairs and steps I properly wouldnt do it on some ones Oak strairs lol I just carry it up the stairs then

JMB,

I didn't notice your girlfriend waving any bills at you while you were up there.  Maybe you should have put on your tool belt and did a shaky shake for her  ;D ;D

Did you check to see how deep the dent was in the floor from the support leg? [tongue]

That's pretty cool, were you in a hurry to go out  [tongue]  Seriously though, that is pretty quick.  Guy, you seen this ?  What do you think of the "zimmer frame" now ?

I must say i am tempted now  [big grin]

Cheers JMB  [thumbs up]

Mmm! Perhaps my sceptical side is slipping a bit. [scratch chin]

I am just unsure about the stability of the extensions with just one leg?

Yeah impressive with JMB jumping on it, but be honest he's about 100lbs wringing wet with a brick in each pocket, and the level of poise and grace in his movements, show that his training at the Royal School of Ballet wasn't wasted!! ;D

Need some fat old bloater to do that and I might be more convinced. Got any suggestions for volunteers??  [tongue] [tongue]

Guy, he's no fat old bloater, but you could ask Shane to ask Brian to stand on it at the Festool HQ and Shane take a picture or shoot video.  If it can handle Brian's mass, that should definitely convince the most doubtful.

Ken, you might be right.

I am teetering on the edge of whether or not to get the Kapex and I was favoring the set with the MFT and extensions, but I have looked at the UG set in my local dealers and it just looks like a zimmer frame.

Fair play to JMB though he has now made me reconsider that as another option. Dont see those sort of tests in promotional video's!!

So by "Zimmer frame" you're referring to what we would call a walker for the elderly or handicapped or JMB after his next acrobatic mishap?

From this moment forward, I will not be able to look at another classified ad offering a used Kapex for sale without thinking of JMB's video.    [scared]

I just hope I can get the image of JMB, "wringing wet with a brick in each pocket" out of my head sometime soon!  [unsure] [wink] [big grin]

I think I've been spending too much time on this forum........I think I just got excited watching a man mount a Kapex.  [scared]

You might not like the ug stand but do not buy the Kapex MFT set I have that set it's the worst thing ever it's a pile of crap I have never used it waist of money.  The MFT with ug extensions might be okay but MFT table aint light plus it's an extra thing the carry so you will have to carry the arm extension then the MFT the the kapex so 3trips.

nice job jmb. were you in a rush to watch ant and dec push the button [eek]. impresive how fast it can be set up and knocked down. the wheel base looks a little wide for my liking during transport but this adds sability when in use

I find it quite useful.  Especially the table part of it.  I use the kapex mft/3 more then my regular mft/3.

If the wings allowed for the stops, and you put the kapex on it's mft, ahhh hell I am wasting my energy.

Is that what they do with recycled closet rods now?

This UG-KA Kapex setup versus the MFT/3 KAPEX and extension set plus the TS75 versus the TS55 debate will most likely outlive this forum.  This reminds me of that Simpsons episode.  Gather all of the strong opinionated people on here (I guess that would wind up including me), strap us in chairs and whenever someone voices their "better" choice, the rest of us get to push the button and zap them.  [big grin]  Think of all the fun we'd have with JMB lighting up like a Christmas tree every 7 seconds.  ;D [eek]
