Hi guys I'm looking to buy a kapex I don't cut massive crown mouldings so don't need the height of the 120 but unsure of the pros of the 88

Which one do I buy lads and lasses

The way i understand it they are both the same saw in terms of capacity - its just the 120 has extra features. The 2 i know of are the angle finder and the laser. For me I could live without the angle finder and in reality you can buy it separate at a later date but the laser is a whole different matter! The twin laser lines once dialed in to the blade kerf are a real plus point and make it easy to cut from either side of the blade bang on the mark without having to mentally adjust for blade kerf.

aside from those 2 i cant think of any other differences but someone else maybe able to correct me on that

The KS 120 has the following additional equipment features;

  • dual-line laser for an accurate indication of the cutting line
  • accessible fine adjuster for setting the saw blade angle accurate to the millimetre
  • special cutting position for cutting depths up to 120 mm
  • practical bevel for rapid transfer of interior and exterior angles

Ultimately you have to decide for yourself whether these are worth it depending on how you see yourself using the Kapex. For me, the KS 120 was a no brainer.
