I recently brought a new TS55 EBQ. Got it for a very good price, complete with a new T-Loc Systainer but no Kickback stop.

Early last year when I brought my TS75, it came with the Kickback Stop.

Is this only standard equipment with the 75 and an optional accessory with the 55, or should it have come with the new 55?

Thanks guys!

Tim.

In looking at the scope of delivery for the TS55R on the Festool UK site it appears that the stop is not included.

Thanks Peter, but I brought the 55 EBQ. The previous model to the 55 R.

I just was'nt sure why it would come as standard with the 75 but not the 55 !

Sorry Tim!  I guess I had too much coffee.  I just checked the site and the listing for the the TS55 (non R versions) aren't there any more.  The part number is 491582.

I do have to say that the scope of deliveries of items included with the tools in various countries is getting interesting.  For instance that part is not indicated as being included with the new model TS55R in the UK, but according to the catalog will be in the US.  By the way I have sent Festool UK an email asking to confirm whether or not it is included in their verions of the R for future reference.

Thanks guys!

As i said, I have got the TS 75 as well and i can use the kickback stop that came with it, but it is a pain to remember to have to swop it from each Systainer depending on which saw I am using on different jobs. IF it should have come with the 55, I was going to get back in touch with the Festool dealer I got the 55 from and give him a hard time!  [wink]

It is odd that the scope of delivery varies from country to country! You would think that it would be easier for Festool to "Standardise" the included items with each tool, the same for everyone.

Thanks for the insight!

Tim.

I got the ts 55 r last July and it didn't come with the stop, I got the accessory systainer which has one.

What you get is:
Saw with 48t blade
Systainer with insert
Plug it lead
2 no 1400 tracks
2 no connectors
1 rail bag

The second rail, connectors and bag were free in a promotion

Just curious...there is also something called a Limit Stop (485827) that fits on the guide rail.  Does this do anything that the Set Back Stop (492581) cannot do?  The Set Back Stop is only about $11 whereas the Limit Stop is $28, so from that standpoint there should be some advantage to getting the Limit Stop, but I can't see it.
