I  have the TS55 and also a CT22, but there are a few times I've used the saw and not needed a lot of dust collection, like outside.

I also have a Bosch cordless planer and it comes with a square fabric - metal reenforced dust bag with a round plastic dust port and it fits on the TS55 no adapters or tape necessary.

The saw directs the sawdust so efficiently that the dust bag will fill up very quickly.  It fits perfect and can be rotated around to the perfect position and because it has an internal metal "frame", it does not hang in the way much like other small dust bags would.

A perfect compliment to your saw kit - helps to eliminate a lot of cleanup outside and eliminate a lot of dust and cleanup inside if you want to do a few quick cuts without the vac attached.  easy to empty as well.

Well worth the $10 or so they cost from Bosch.

You'll have to call or look in a catalog to find the part number - it is not listed on the website.

What a great idea! I have many such dust bags someplace..... I never use them as I always use a vac so they get stored in an "unknown" location. I have to dig a couple up and give this a try. Would have been very handy on a couple of quick shelving installs.

Wicked...I'm going to try that next time.  I've used the saw a few times without vac, when I only need a quick cut to trim a door.  This will save me from having to cleanoff my guide rails (or my shirt) for those one off cuts.

well i guess inflation has taken over because with shipping the cheapest i could find the bag was $30. if anyone wants the bosch part number it is a 2605411035 chip bag.

You could probably find a refurb of the cheapest model of planer they carry for about $65 or so and then take the dust bag and sell the "new" planer on CL for $55.

You could use any dust bag, but the square one is a perfect fit for the TS saw.

If I find an item / part I need and the local Woodcraft store carries that brand, they will order parts for you and you don't pay shipping.  At least my local Woodcraft will do that.  They might wait until they put in an order for other items, but it's usually not too long. Saves shipping costs.

My first post here.
Good idea but...
It is safe to use the saw without the vac?
I have read that the dust may cause problems to the plunge spring.

The dust bag from a DeWalt miter saw fits inside the dust port hole and does a decent job .  The bags are usually available from any of the big box stores that carry DeWalt saws.
