Posted over on the Kreg website so I thought I'd post here as well.

I have to build 30+ storm wooden storm windows for my house as the aluminum ones that were/are there are not in the best of shape. I was going to use a router bit set made for creating windows, glue, and loose tenons (domino that I haven't bought yet). I thought to ask if anyone has ever built wooden storms using pocket screws then filling the holes with plugs.

Interested in your opinions and/or experiences.

Thanks,
Chuck

I have built wooden storm windows in the past and dominos would be better for the job. That being said, wooden storm windows are heavy, tricky to fit, difficult to store, and need to be repainted.

What domino machine do you have?  I was thinking of the xl rather that the 500 as I would most likely build larger things rather that smaller.  If need be, I can buy the modification jig from Seneca woodworking for the smaller dominos.

I built some screen panels (similar to storms) with the 500.  It took me about two hours to cut and mortise and about 20 minutes to assemble and clamp 4 frames. It was my first domino effort. I was pretty impressed. I don't think the same time frame could be met with the Kreg system.
