Hi .got my kreg k5 pocket hole jig on Saturday .had a play with it today am really pleased with it
It seams really good quality not plasticky as I was expecting .

And also it is calibrated in metric which I was really pleased about .I searched it loads before I bought it and couldn't find it in metric anywhere

Out of curiosity where did you get it from, I will be getting one shortly and if I could get it in metric Id be well pleased also.

Just finishing a new kitchen build.  Used the Kreg K5 on all the face frames.  Love the set up and ease of use.  Not terribly happy with the dust extraction characteristics.  Unless the vacuum is hooked up perfectly, the bit jams up really fast.  I found myself using my old simple set up on a couple of situations.  That's not why I bought this.  however, that being said, when it works right, it's a great improvement.  I might even move up to the electric version if my next kitchen is big enough.

Someone mentioned in another thread that the Bosch VAC003 adapter fits the K5 perfectly on the 27mm hose. Saved a lot of headaches for me trying to find the right PVC adapters, and it's only a few bucks too.

Mines is all aluminium and about 20 years old. Still works like a charm
