Hi all,
I've had my festool KS 60 mitre saw for around 8 years and I've had this problem twice and wondered if there's any way of sorting it.
Basically the long metal rod that is connected to the knob on the mitre facility, has a short threaded section that goes through a thin square nut, unfortunately the thread seems to wear very easily and eventually slips when trying to lock off the mitre setting.
I'm now considering buying a third replacement but fear this will soon happen again. I wouldn't say I overtighten it but when setting the mitre angle to 0.5 degrees for example, it needs to be tightened fairly well else it jumps back to the zero setting.
Anyway hope I've explained well enough and someone has a solution.
Many thanks
Rob
