La 650 Uses?

I thought the LA 650 would be an alternative fence for the MFT. Since the fence portion portion of the LA 650 is quite short, I have never really used it since I purchased it. However, I look at it and think there must be uses for it that have eluded me. I think the Incra tracks of various types may have more potential has a fence on the MFT in comparison to the LA 650. Anyway, for those of you with the LA650, how are you using it?

I've only used it on a CMS, and to be honest, it seems rigid anglewise than the MFT fence, so I wouldn't think you'd want to substitute it.
