LA-OF 1400 type base for OF 1010 EQ?

The LA-OF 1400 base is a great addition to the OF 1400 router and enables one to use the router with the guide but off the guide without the unstable "foot".

Is there a similar base for the OF 1010?

Cheers - Bill

Bob - is that base thicker that the standard so the router is elevated, i.e. the thickness of the guide rail so that the router can be used with the router guide but not need to be partially on the guide and using the "foot"

The base for the OF 1400 actually increases the thickness of the overall router base.

Hi Bill,

I will check that base tomorrow and let you know.

Bill,

That base will add 2.5 mm in height in addition to the existing base, so if you use it with the guide stop, keeping the router's base off the rail, it will provide stability, so you can choose not use that outrigger. However, the orifice is small (14 mm) and would have to be made wider if you are going to use a larger router bit.

That is great.  This what I understand:

1) Base adds 2.5 mm - this works

2) Base does not have hole but can make whatever size is needed

3) Base does not snap on at the one for the 1400 but rather would be additive to the standard base - may require getting longer screws to attach - or attaching this new base to a copy ring similar to the base for the 1400

Thx again - Bill

You've got it, Bill.  This base normally replaces the standard base, but you intend to use it in addition.  I think you'll need longer screws.

Nope.  Screws.

Bill,

  1. Yes.

  2. There is a 14 mm hole already drilled, but I suppose you could make it larger, if you wish.

  3. The screws are long enough to hold, but the base does not snap in as on the 1400.
