Laguna 2hp Dust collector

I bought the unit second hand and I've had it for about 2 years. then one day randomly it decided not to work anymore, it turns on but will not go to full speed and trip the breaker. Laguna has been great and given me new capacitors, centrifugal clutch, and now a motor but it still does the same thing.
does anybody have any experience with these or know what the problem could be. Thank you

If you have a new motor and it still won't ramp up to speed - your impeller is fouled with debris.

If it is 220 volt make sure you have power on both legs. If you have had the motor out I assume you had the impeller off?

I think it is the electrical feed somewhere if the new motor does the same thing.

Impeller was fine, I just don't get why one day it worked and the next time using it it didn't. That's why I thought capacitors, but that didn't fix it.
Yes 220, worked the first I used it, didn't have to rewire anything. Nothing changed in my shop that I can attribute and wiring changes for one day to the next.

I have seen 220 breakers only kick 1 leg out instead of both. This would probably result in what you are seeing. Also could be the switch not engaging both legs?

Sorry, I should have said it's piping the breaker on the dust collector not in the breaker panel

The panel breaker can be half tripped so only 1 leg is fed to the dust collector this would cause the breaker on the dust collector to kick. Even if the breaker on the panel looks ok sometimes just cycling it off then on can reset it. If you have not already done that.

If you have not already done so checking the power on both legs on the back side of the switch with a meter would rule in or out those concerns. This would rule out the switch being a problem also.

I feel it must be a power side problem but that is just a guess from your description of the problem.
