Hi guys,

I've been messing around with 3ds max for a few years now, so I thought I would just open up a thread to share some of my designs that have been given to clients as well as some non woodworking models and renderings I do when I have some down time.

I'll start it off with my latest little project, I wanted to give a more realistic look to some of the furniture I do so one way to achieve this was to model the Blum hinges I use on so many of my jobs.

Thats just a picture out of a catalogue right  [poke]

Seriously though, how long did it take to do that ?  Very profesional looking.

I dont think i spent more then 3 hours on the modeling. Here are some renderings of  bedroom furniture for a client.

Great renderings. Have you used other 3d programs for rendering? How does 3ds max compare if you have.

Hi Tim,

3ds max is the only program I have used for both modeling and rendering.

Love the Monica bed & dressing table.  Are they your own designs ? Are all these renderings things you have or are planning to make ?

Stunning work  [thumbs up]

Hi Woodguy,

I did design the monica bed and dressing table, the client gave me total freedom with the design. All she told me was she wanted something simple and modern. Still waiting on her now to see if the quotation is accepted. A few of the renderings have been made in real life after I got the go ahead from the clients. The fini mahogany rendering I designed and then built.
