LAST CALL for First Aid Systainer Orders and Payment

This week's teaser PICTURE is one you've seen before, but be sure to read what's below it. I did a google search on Tanos Systainer Ship and look at what came upon the first page of results:

[attachthumb=#]

Yes, our very own Mini-Trauma Systainer Kit! I thought it was pretty cool...

The image I was actually looking for was the one with all the T-LOC systainers on the deck of the cargo ship, which I couldn't quickly find. I was going to use it to let you know that:

The ship is in!!!

In case that good news is too much to handle, here's the information I've received so far which will temper your elation:

"Bad news.  The Tanos container is on a “CET EXAM” in New York.  This means that customs wants to open the container for a look.  It could release by tomorrow or it could be next week.  We are pushing the trucker and exam site but at this point we are at the mercy of US Customs."

Even if it doesn't get released until next week I should still be on track to ship them by the end of May, as originally promised. If they are delayed longer than a week the ship date could slip - but let's fall off that bridge when we come to it.

;D

Just ask man... ::)

That is a great picture. How much does a Sys-Container cost [big grin] and will they be available in the USA.

Hang on let me find out.  We accept Paypal and all major credit cards ::)

Congratulations!  It is exciting to see a pallet or more of Systainers.  The customs thing will pass quickly I imagine.

Peter

This weeks's teaser picture...

I timed the supplies to arrive starting just about now because I don't have a ton of room to store them. The next picture will help explain why:

[attachthumb=#2]

So what's IN that big stack of cardboard boxes?

[attachthumb=#1]

Bandages! Lots and LOTS of bandages!!!

Stay tuned for more - we're getting close now...

Me want one.... Guess I gotta put one together myself... Sys 1 on the way.... Malte

If you're not in a rush, I'm putting together a form for Tanos Colored Systainers.  Stay tuned ;)

So today was a GREAT day. It started out with an email from Shane, telling me of some PERSONAL good fortune. If you want, you can read about THAT here:

http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tools-accessories/win-a-rotex-ro-150-ct-26-in-this-month's-sweepstakes-(us-canada)/msg317860/?topicseen#msg317860

Then about 1 o'clock 48 other FOG members had good fortune smile on THEM. How's that, you say?

First, I heard a noise at the end my driveway. When I investigated this is what I found:

[attachthumb=#]

Then he rolled up the back door to reveal this:

[attachthumb=#]

Get those forks in there carefully!

[attachthumb=#]

Off the truck and now over to the house:

[attachthumb=#]

Open that gaylord:

[attachthumb=#]

And the final result:

[attachimg=#]

WOW! That's an impressive sight for sure!

That's an 8-foot ceiling that you can glimpse behind the Systainers. That would make a single stack about...(takes off socks)... carry the one... oh, about 26 feet high, or about 1.86^.007th hectares in metric. I bet that - for the next couple of weeks anyway - I have more Sys 2's than even Seth has. That's OK, Seth - they're not mine anyway!

[big grin]

Now that I've shared the good news, let me also share the 'less good' news.

These arrived over a week late due to the customs delay, so I missed one window to get them printed. Now that I have them I will push to see what the next possible date will be. Once they are printed I still have to fill and package them, which won't be quick either. And due to the holiday, I seriously doubt that any will get shipped by the end of the month. But hang in there just a LITTLE bit longer and I'll get them shipped to you as soon as I can!!!

must be nice to have your own forklift.

It'll be 20 years old this fall.

I built my own home, and shop, and I live on some acreage. You can't believe how handy a tractor with a loader and a couple attachments is!

Ohhhh man ohh man! that is an AWESOME sight  [big grin]

Whooohoooooooo [thumbs up] [drooling]

I have a funny little side-story to share...

When we got done unloading the pallet, the UPS guy closed the back door on the trailer and locked it with a pretty high-quality padlock. He mentioned that they were required to keep the trailer locked at all times, unless they were loading or unloading.

He went up to the cab to drive away, and found out that his keys were missing. After doing a pretty thorough walk-around, we all decided that he had to have dropped them in the trailer somewhere. BUMMER!!

While he called his dispatcher, I went and rounded up a bolt-cutter and a Hackzall. He obtained permission to cut the hasp on the lock, so I first tried the bolt cutter. Being a hardened hasp, I had no luck. On to plan 'b'.

I then tried the Hackzall, but it only scratched the chrome. Time for plan 'c'.

While my wife rounded up 200' of extension cord, I went to the shop and got a grinder. A couple of minutes later, the hasp was in 2 pieces and the trailer was open. Maybe 30 seconds later, he found his keys - inside the trailer as expected.

So all's well that end's well!

That is a pretty awesome sight to behold.

Just think if they were all filled with festool tools?  Wonder what that would run?

Again thanks for putting these togethe

I met with the printer today. As Peter discovered with the FOG-tainers, printing on these takes a special ink and skilled people. I was lucky to find 'the right guy' local to me.

He told me that 70% of their business is screening and pad-printing parts for the medical community, They have a very nice facility and - not surprisingly - are very professional. They are also quite responsive.

I will be delivering the systainers to them tomorrow, and should have them back by Tuesday or Wednesday next week. It will take several days because the ink needs to dry between coats, and the red T-LOC latch will require 2 'hits' in order to look white instead of pink.

I also have a 'surprise' that I think you're gonna like - check back here for in-process photo's soon!

Great to hear the progress!  I was going to pm you to see how things were going, but you beat me to it with your post.  Looking forward to having one in my shop!  Thanks again for your efforts on this...

This is definitely a lot of work, I kinda figured you would just slap some stickers or tape on the latches. I wasn't expecting professional labeling. I'm impressed! :)

Thanks for your hard work sir!

I wouldn't be happy with a label that would rub/fall off, so why should you accept that? I promised that this would be a first-class job all around. After all, Peter set the bar pretty high when he did the FOG-tainers, so I have to at least try to match the quality of what he did.

Unfortunately, it all takes time. Thank you to you and everyone else for being patient!
