Finally got a day off ..wife's at work thought I'd go down the shed and have a fiddle with my new toy

Opened it up .cant believe it domino is in a classic SYS and assortment is in a tlock

Why ,?

I was already told I couldn't have the set version because I wanted 110v so had to order trim stop as a separate part

I'd call the dealer and let them help you regain your faith in mankind! There is no way I'd accept a classic systainer.

Current 110V DF500 should be part number 574329 and be supplied in a T-LOC.

I'd question your delivery and demand a new unit.

I bought mine about six weeks ago and both Domino and accessory systainers were Tloc.

I'd be questioning the dealer that you've been dealing with. However it happened, I'd hope that all this can be straightened out.

Just as an aside, if this incident has you questioning your faith in mankind, then you must have had a tough life son, with more of a difficult life to come.  :(

Brit humor, spose not everyone gets it  [big grin]

I too would send back.  Looks like a dealer trying to get rid of old stock.  Fine if he offers you a discount on it !

Upscale was actually joking

You'll find that I'm usually joking, but my dry sense of humour isn't always that obvious. And sometimes, it's downright terrible. When I start swearing at you, then you'll know I'm not joking anymore.  ::)

Ha ha ..panic over  dealer is sending me a new tlock SYS .and il prob end up keeping the classic

Abrasives SYS I think ,,

Hi

Make sure your dealer includes the insert for the Domino for the T-loc. The inserts are not the same. Another question, you did get the paddle version and not the pin version? If it's a pin version it's definately not a "new" Domino.

I had the same thing happen to me but the other way around, Domino in T-loc and assortment in classic. I didn't worry because I will probably order another assortment sys in the future. The old one can then be downgraded to an abbrasive sys for my 125.

I'm still losing my faith .got the new SYS today and it's for a mfk500 !

Also been looking into it and it is a pin version but it is brand new .my dealer says he can't get me a new one for the same price

What to do ?

Kev  you reckon to keep it

If it's a pin version it is at least 2 years old - my Domino is a paddle, bought about 2 years ago very soon after they changed the stops, but before they introduced the new sys lock boxes. Why not ring your area Festool rep? Or TTS themselves?

I've got the pin version and I wouldn't want a paddle version. About the only difference is it pin/paddle. For me it would be a keeper

That's his problem, not yours. Unless it was sold as new old stock he needs to honour the sale or offer you your money back.

You have clearly been sold something that didn't match your expectation and even when given the opportunity to resolve they have still got it wrong with the replacement Systainer. To then state he will be out of pocket because of his misselling but expects you to take that hit is out of order.

As others have said, the pin version is considered a better option comparative to the paddles, however when paying Festool prices, part of that transaction is the service it comes with.

YEP!!!

Keep it.

If you desperately want it in a T-Loc the old insert fits in a new T-Loc with two tiny snips of the scissors. Only thing you're missing is the matching cardboard picture.

There are people that would pay a fair bit more for a pin DF500 than a paddle (I'm one! - I've got a 500 and a 700, but I still keep my eyes open for a pin 500)

Toss the insert out of the MKF T-Loc and do a careful scissor job. Go to the Festool website and print the new labels for the T-Loc card slots.

Further, stop thinking you're a loser with this - if it was me I would be chuffed for scoring a pin DF500 no matter what the Systainer - it's simply better!
