Hey all,

I recently purchased a Leigh adapter for my OF1010 that allows me to fit a bunch of threaded copy rings from UJK (I got the metric set since I'm in Europe). It came without screws though and I apparently can't use the screws included with my OF1010 since their sunken head pulls the plate into a fixed position rendering the centering mandrel useless. Finding flat head machine screws (M4) that don't protrude from the plate hasn't been easy so far. Does anyone have a good online resource? Maybe someone who has one of those adapters can share how he solved it?

Be sure to use pan head screws with the 704R adapter so that you will be able to center the guides on the bit of choice or centering mandrel.  If you use flat head screws, you will lose the adjustability.

Sorry that was exactly what I meant, probably a translation issue. I'm having a hard time finding screws that are flat on the underside of the head (pan head?) yet don't protrude from the plate when mounted.

You need cheese head screws. This is only a sample drawing to check the dimensions to see if they will fit. They should be readily available at your nearest screw supplier.

BTW my OF1010 came with the correct screws.

I have the same set from Axminster and the screws came with it. I’d give them a call and get them to send you a set.

I haven't seen the exact type of screw you need for the OF1010. However, in the Netherlands most often pan head screws are called cilinderkopschroef (not rounded on the upper side of the head) or bolcilinderkopschroef (rounded on the upper side of the head). Please note that there are two types: those used for wood (the underside of the head is not flat, but a cone) and those used for metal (the underside of the head is flat). To make things even more confusing, nowadays you'll often see bolcilinderkopschroeven used for wood with a flat underside.

I'd suggest you look for "cilinderkop" screws at your suppliers.

I stand corrected.  Look for 4 mm x 0.70 mm pitch, head thickness no greater than 1.85mm.
