I am truly saddened.

Marianne died of leukemia in July of this year. Cohen was able to write her before her passing and noted that he would not long follow after her.

I have the Leonard Cohen Pandora channel playing in my shop as I work. I am always  cheered when I hear Suzanne and the lilting melody of My Gypsy Wife lifts my spirits.

RIP Leonard. You spoke to many....Halleluiah!

My favorite version is Judy Collins, in honor of the writer...

Yes his physical passing is sad, but this is a man that made a huge mark ... I'm happy for his life and I hope he really enjoyed it [wink]

An amazing talent that will live on beyond world leaders and corporations. He's not dead to me.

Agree with everyone about Leonard Cohen. He wrote beautiful songs, a wonderful blend of lyrics and tune. Nothing artificial or contrived about it. No, it's not on the charts and most under 50 years old or so have never heard of him yet alone listened to him, but for those of us who did and do, he won't be forgotten.
