I've had the same plugit cord on my boom arm for several years. Over time it was getting harder to connect. Looking closely, the one of the connectors was lightly charred. I installed a new cord and it plugs smoothly. Note to self to be aware of the connector getting harder to install.
I have a bunch of unused light cables, but had to purchase a new one of the heavier cords. I'd love to exchange a few of the lighter cords of a single heavier one!
