Lip Planing - Thick Solid Edging

I do a lot of solid nosing on shelves and counter tops.
I though I could do it with the HL 850 but haven't come up with a good method.  The MFK seems to be maxed out at 5/8s.

You could use the OF 1010 or OF 1400 with the edging plate, 486058.

Shane is right, the angle arm should solve the problem.

There is more to it than just the angle arm and I recommend that you look at the video below from the 10 minute 50 second point to see all of the parts that you will need and see how it is assembled and put into use.



If you are using the OF1400 then the angle arm and the edging plate are good but the chip deflector shown with the assembly in my video (486242) only goes with the OF1010 (as far as I know).

You could also get a lipping planer...
