Is there a maximum load rating on the mft? Im doing a batch shelving project and I wanted to use my mft as a staging area to maximize work flow. The total load is equivalent to 10 sheets of plywood, distributed in a stack of thirty 42x14x1.5 shelves.

Thanks [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] is that info on the website?  I didn't see it under the specs tab on the product page.

[member=37411]Edward A Reno III[/member], scroll down on this page and you'll see it under the section labeled "Work Surface".

While the Multi-Function Table (MFT) makes a superb work surface for cutting, sanding and routing, you can also use the MFT for assembly. Built to be sturdy, the MFT can support loads up to 260 lbs. A ergonomically designed work height places your work materials at the perfect height.

I thought about the Centiped, but it won't work on uneven ground so I ruled it out for site work. Instead I find a couple of Toughbuilt C700 saw horses work great and handle thousands of pounds. With 2x4's screwed onto the top, and two 2x4's on each side, they are my cutting table.

FWIW...I use StableMate saw horses. They're made from galvanized steel, with collapsible & locking legs, a pair will hold 1000# and made in the USA.  [thumbs up]

I just mounted some 5/4 cedar on the top to prevent saw blade accidents.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I worked it out -- it's just that since I already had my MFT setup for the job I was wondering if I could use it as a staging area.  Instead I just setup some additional saw horses.  It made for a tight fit in the shop, but it served its purpose.

Woodworking unrelated but I had to weld up a bunch of railings and some 3" square tube for legs of a desk I'm building. I have been using my 1080 as the welding table with a piece of 1/4" thick 4' square steel on top. 1/4" steel is about 10lbs/ft2. On top of this I have had one of the legs which is 30-40Lbs and misc items.

Im pushing well over 200lbs with no issues for the past 4 months.
